Not only has the “temporary” increase to the conforming loan limit been approved by the house, influential representatives are now calling for the conforming loan limit increase to become permanent."

If we want to live in a representative democracy, we have to hold our elected officials accountable to the electorate (I guarantee the lobbyists are holding them accountable). Voters have more power than lobbyists, if we choose to exercise it.

The National Association of Realtor NEVER lobby's in the best interest of the public. In fact they send Realtors mass emails to stand up and to go to DC to fight for the Realtor Best Interest.
